Each Beech Creek Candle is hand-crafted to order. The candle you order is carefully hand-measured, melted, fragranced, wicked, poured, and packaged. The extra care we take can be seen in every candle we make.

Soy Wax
We start with the highest quality soy wax available. This 100% pure soy wax has been developed specifically for candles and is both environmentally-friendly and renewable. It is made from soy beans grown and processed exclusively in the United States. Unlike paraffin, soy waxes burn cleaner and longer and retain their fragrance for a longer period of time.

Fragrance Oils
Fragrance oils are one of the most important ingredients we considered when starting Beech Creek Candles. High-quality, rich fragrances that blend well with the base wax can only be achieved by using high-quality fragrances. Every fragrance we offer has been tested for compatibility and scent throw (both hot and cold) to assure a great smelling candle.

Wicks
The wicks we use are 100% braided cotton. We do not use cored wicks, as the impurities in the core metal contribute to dirtier burning. Please try to keep your wicks trimmed to no more than 1/4" for optimum candle performance. Our wick sizes are chosen to minimize the "tunneling" you are probably familiar with. It is recommended that you burn your Beech Creek Candles for a full 4-6 hours at a time to allow the melt pool to extend across the surface of your candle to a depth of between 1/4 to 1/2-inch. Frequent shorter burn times contribute to the tunneling effect.

How your candles are made

Once your order has been received, the amount of soy wax needed for each product is carefully measured and melted to its proper melting temperature. While the wax is melting, each wick is prepared for the container type you have chosen.

Once melted, the wax is colored using our custom color recipes developed for each fragrance.

When the proper color has been achieved, the wax is allowed to cool slightly before adding the fragrance oil, which is then blended into the wax for a full five minutes.

After the fragrance oil has been blended, the wax is ready for pouring.

Once poured, the candle is allowed to cure. Wicks are then trimmed and the final product is assembled, labeled, and prepared for shipping.
